Gil Fitts
Gil FittsFounder & Marketing Director
Guilford Fitts is the President of Pivot Point Media with over three decades of television advertising, sales management and marketing experience. His first love though is the creative process and challenged himself with the following question – What if all of the brain power and effort of advertising was focused on health, education and social empowerment?

Now primarily serving as “the bridge between clients and the creatives”, Gil Fitts has been the project manager and executive producer of compelling television and radio commercials, corporate branding documentaries, web applications and online video campaigns.

He is a former officer of the Triangle Advertising Federation, Communities in Schools, and Raleigh Sales and Marketing. He served for two years on the National Sales Committee of the Television Bureau of Advertising.

Gil is a graduate of Cornell University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts.

Christine Rogers

Christine Rogers serves as Vice President, GM of Healthcare Media at Ketchum. As a communications professional with more than 25 years of experience, Christine has extensive expertise in managing corporate reputations within the life sciences industry. Before joining Ketchum, Christine was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Parexel where she was responsible for external communications and launched the company’s award-winning newsroom site. Along with clinical research organization experience at PRA Health Sciences (ICON) and IQVIA, Christine worked at G1 Therapeutics where she was responsible for internal and external corporate communications strategies and programs to successfully launch a new FDA-approved therapy. Before moving into corporate communications, Christine was a long-time broadcast journalist. She won numerous awards for her work as an investigative reporter, talk show host and documentary producer.

Christine received her undergraduate degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and her graduate degree from Duke University. When not working you can find Christine performing on stage at various theaters in the Triangle, or volunteering at the NC Museum of Art where she is a docent.

Gayle D. Hurd

Gayle’s career started in radio, with an extensive television experience as producer, talk show host, reporter, anchor and public affairs director ranging throughout the southeast to New York City.

Graduating with a Bachelors’ degree in Broadcast News and Public Affairs from the School of Communications and Theatre in Temple University’s Annenberg School of Communications in Philadelphia, she considers herself fortunate to have always been able to work in her chosen field.

She has extensive experience in event planning and serves on several boards and membership organizations. Gayles has been the Regional Director of the National Association of Black Journalists and President of the Local Chapter in Raleigh.

In her spare time, Gayle enjoys the the arts, classic movies and dance. She is a graduate of the Annerberg School of Commications at Temple University.

Joe Hakooz has over ten years of experience in web application development, Flash programming, ASP.NET technology solutions, audio/video production, and digital design. He works closely with clients from concept to completion to produce custom interactive applications and web-based content management solutions.Joe has developed many multimedia, web and eLearning applications for clients in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, education, entertainment, media, and environmental industries. Joe also holds three patents for a therapeutic medical device VTFlex. Joe’s blog Raleigh Flash discusses topics related to Flash, ASP.NET, web application development, and related technologies.

Ismail Abdelkhalek is one of the leading production professionals in the Southeast serving either as director, shooter, editor and producer depending on the scope of work. Highly organized and creative, Ismail is renown for making sure the ‘aesthetics always serve the message’.

He has been the shooter, plus editor and or field producer for HGTV, TLC Cable Network, Discovery Health, The Documentary Channel and the Food Network. Currently Pivot Point and Ismail are providing the production crews for a documentary on the legendary Carolina Duke Basketball rivalry entitled, Blue Blood Rivalry.

Nic is a former Ringling Bros. circus clown and holds a certificate from the New York University Film program with over 33 years of experience producing, directing, and editing short films, narratives and documentaries. His films have been official selections in over 75 festivals worldwide from Cannes to NYC. His broadcast, corporate, commercial, university and non-profit are legion and he worked for ten years in Washington, DC, producing and filming broadcast news at the White House and Capital. Nic is an award winning filmmaker with an Emmy nomination, 9 Tellies and other regional and national recognition.

She loves what she does, and it shows! She has worked as a professional graphic designer in New York City, Chicago, Portland and Austin, and picked up new perspectives and a fresh skill-set along the way.

Orton, PhD, is an accomplished creator of learning media for workplace employee skills and knowledge, having spent 20 years as Director of IBM’s Center for Advanced Learning creating technology-delivered instructional media, tools, and templates for the company’s 400,000 global employees. Peter’s work has been honored with Best Practice awards from the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), Gold Tellys, the National Health Information Awards (Patient Education) and a Grammy nomination for Educational Audio Series. He was recently individually highlighted in Chief Learning Officer magazine as one of “Five Exceptional Learning Professionals” within the corporate learning industry.

Peter holds a PhD in Communication from Stanford University, an M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a B.A. cum laude in Sociology from Princeton University.
